Bobby K ponders in an email about his new podcast. Wants feedback

Bobby Klinck bobby@bobbyklinck.com

Don’t tell my team, but I’ve been thinking about starting a new podcast…

Oh crap!

My teammates are subscribed to this email list, so I guess the cat’s out of the bag.

Whoopsie. ðŸ¤£

Joking aside, ever since I started thinking about what to do next with this email list, a voice has been whispering in my ear that I should start a podcast.

Not sure if it’s the ðŸ˜‡… or the ðŸ˜ˆ.

Regardless, considering that I’m a loquacious fella, I will almost certainly start a new podcast at some point… maybe as a passion project outside the business or maybe as a content engine in the business.

Letting my mind wander for the past six months or so has given time for the ideas to start to crystallize… and this morning, on my walk, I whittled things down to two potential angles.

I want your feedback on them… and not just for the sake of the future podcast.

I want your feedback because the angle for the future podcast will also be the angle for future emails to this list.

That’s right… multitasking at its best!

So, here are my two ideas (with working titles):

Idea #1: The Invisible Layerâ„¢

Have you ever wondered why some businesses are uber-successful while others aren’t, even when they seem to be using the same business and marketing playbook? Have you ever followed the step-by-step strategies a business coach taught you but it hasn’t worked for your business?

The reason is the invisible layer… the things happening below the surface that we don’t see.

The Invisible Layerâ„¢ would be a deep dive into those things happening below the surface… whether it’s the innate skills of the founder, the years of hard work, the deep domain expertise, or other business advantages.

Idea #2: Be The Expertâ„¢

Have you ever wondered how you can build a knowledge business that will survive in a world where AI seems to be replacing everyone?

The answer is simple… be THE expert. The days of building a business while you’re “one step ahead” are gone. It’s time to embrace taking the time to build true expertise.

Be The Expertâ„¢ would be a deep dive into expertise. It would explore why AI can’t replace deep expertise and provide actionable guidance on building your expertise.

So… which idea do you prefer?

Hit reply and let me know which angle appeals to you more.

Which podcast would you be more likely to tune in for?

Which topic would you rather see me address in my emails to you?

I want to deliver content that’s most useful to you, but I can’t do that without help. So help me, help you. Hit reply and tell me your preference.

Talk later.
